All Women Flat Track Experience

Bennetts are helping to celebrate International Female Ride Day (IFRD) on May 1st, 2021, by hosting an all-women Introduction to Flat Track experience day.

International Female Ride Day (IFRD) is an annual event held on the first Saturday of May each year since 2006. The mission of its worldwide events is to build awareness of female motorcycle riders and promote those who enjoy motorcycling. The action of #JUSTRIDE further intends to encourage other women who have not yet explored motorcycling to take up the activity. 

By activating on May 1st, Bennetts, the motorcycle insurance specialists, hope to contribute to the goals of IFRD and celebrate the women in motorcycling while maintaining its ongoing commitment to help riders get more from motorcycling.

Held in partnership with Champions Flat Track School, the Introduction to Flat Track event is only open to the ever-increasing number of female Bennetts’ customers  and Rewards members. The one-day training event takes place in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, and costs just £140 per person including tuition and bike hire. Places can be booked through Bennetts Rewards and are limited to just 15 riders.

Flat Track is recognised by many professional circuit racers as a valuable part of their training schedule. Champions Flat Track School offers the chance to learn new skills to riders of all types and experience to off-road riding the way champions train. 

The event initiative is led by Bennetts Senior PR & Events Executive and flat track racer, Leah Tokelove. She said: “Flat Track is one of the few sports where men and women compete directly against each other and it has been proven that women can be so competitive. 

“I’m so proud that Bennetts are so enthusiastic to activate on IFRD and offer women the opportunity to try something new, in an environment with like-minded riders and just champion the ethos of encouraging each other to just ride!”
