Torqueing Heads #1 Diamond Races - Motorcycle Podcast

Hello and welcome to the Torqueing Heads podcast series. During the confines of the original lock-down in spring 2020 courtesy of the COVID-19 pandemic, we created the Torqueing Heads video chat series and subsequently published 16 episodes here at BikeSocial as well as via our YouTube channel before realising they'd make a convenient podcast series too. Well, some of them at least. The less visual episodes and certainly those that don't date as quickly as others.

So, here we are, the first in our brand new podcast version of Torqueing Heads.

And in this episode, it's all about road racing on the Isle of Wight. The idea was officially unveiled at the end of July 2020 with a view to hosting the first competitive event in October 2021 but what stage are the organisers at? Who are the organisers? What does the circuit look like? How long is it? Is it fast? Which bikes will race there? What do the locals think? Will it be televised? 

We invited four members of the organising team to join our own Michael Mann for a chat. Former British Touring Car champion, James Kaye, TV presenter and two-time Isle of Man TT winner, Steve Plater and Gary Thompson MBE, Clerk of the Course at the Isle of Man TT to answer our questions.
