DEUS EX-MACHINE, VENICE BEACH, LOS ANGELES

As biking destinations go, custom builders Deus Ex-Machina in Los Angeles are one of those bikes shops that you have to tick off your list of biking places to visit.

So when friend of Bike Social and the Michelin hipster himself, Paul Cordle, found himself on an extended stay in Los Angeles, he couldn’t resist dropping by and sending us these pictures of the flagship Venice Beach store. Biker beards welcome, but not a necessary requirement to enter!

Paul Cordle said: “They had some very nice t-shirts so I bought a couple of those. A bike would have been nice but the BMW was $28,000! There wasn’t a price on the others, but they looked even more expensive! Great place though.”

As well as customs built in-house by Michael ‘Woolie’ Woolaway, the shop also includes a range of clothing, a coffee house and surf boards from the Temple of Enthusiasm.

HERE’S SOME OF PAUL’S BEST DEUS PICTURES:

Decorate your house in Deus Ex-Machina posters, buy the boots, or the jeans. Who said motorcycling wasn’t a lifestyle?

Not your average motorcycle shop...
Above: Not just your average motorcycle shop. Man in shop is staring at Paul Cordle because he’s not wearing a hipster beard. Yet. He's working on it.

Fascinated by the latest customs coming out of the UK and abroad? Or want to pick up a Deus t-shirt, then you need to get along to The Bike Shed III in London on May 24-25. We have it on good authority that Deus are attending, too.

Massive hipster thanks to Paul Cordle for sorting out these pics for us. Cheers fella.
