With TEN current MotoGP stars, including 2022 World Champion Francesco Bagnaia, SIX of the leading teams, British Dutch Moto2 GP winner Jake Dixon plus legends including Casey Stoner, Freddie Spencer, Kevin Schwantz and Mick Doohan, this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed features its biggest and best-ever biking line-up.
And although tickets are now limited there’s still ways to see them all in action.
When is the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed?
First staged in 1993, the Goodwood Festival of Speed has grown to become the world’s largest automotive garden party set against the spectacular backdrop of Goodwood House in West Sussex, UK.
Traditionally held in early July, this year’s festival takes place over four days, from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th July 2023, and marks the event’s 30th anniversary.
As ever, the stars are two and four-wheeled racers, old and new, with many legendary riders, drivers and machines in action up the famous Goodwood Hill over all four days.
This year, however, sees the festival’s biggest-ever celebration of the two-wheeled championship, with Grand Prix motorcycles set to make up the entirety of the biking entry.
In addition, there’s a huge entry of historic racing cars and drivers, classic and static displays, supercars, a Bonhams auction and much, much more.
Are tickets still available for Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023?
Yes – just (as we write). Although tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are now all sold out, tickets ARE still available for Thursday 13th, when MotoGP stars Lorenzo Savadori, Michele Pirro, Mika Kallio and Pol Espargaro are all in action on the iconic Goodwood hill climb.
Thursday adult tickets start at £60, children under-12 go free and there’s also a ‘Young Persons’ ticket for those aged 13-21 costing £30. These include free parking. In addition, a number of hospitality packages, starting at £244 and which also include admission, are also still available. For the latest availability go to the official Goodwood website.

Who is riding at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023?
In terms of MotoGP, it’s more a case this year of ‘who isn’t?’. Thanks in part to coinciding with the MotoGP summer break, no less than TEN riders from the current championship from an unprecedented SIX teams will all be taking part in the festival.
Those teams are:
the Ducati Lenovo Team with riders Bagnaia (Saturday and Sunday), Enea Bastianini (Saturday and Sunday) and Michele Pirro (Thursday and Friday);
the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team with Brad Binder (Saturday & Sunday) and Mika Kallio (Thursday and Friday);
the GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 team with Pol Espargaro (Thursday and Friday) and Augusto Fernandez (Saturday and Sunday);
Aprilia Racing with Lorenzo Savadori (Thursday and Friday);
the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team with Miguel Oliveira (Saturday) and Raul Fernandez (Sunday), and
the LCR Honda team (riders and days TBC).
In addition, Moto2 team GASGAS Aspar will be there with British rider Jake Dixon who recently spectacularly won the Dutch round at Assen.
All the teams will also be located in Goodwood’s accessible Ballroom Paddock giving fans the perfect opportunity to see the bikes being prepared before taking to the Hill.
Nor does the list of motorcycle grand prix superstars end there. In addition to the 10 current MotoGP riders at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed there’s a huge line-up of bike GP legends in attendance. Those already confirmed include: Casey Stoner, Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan, Randy Mamola, Wayne Gardner, as well as Festival of Speed debutants Jorge Lorenzo, Kenny Roberts Jnr. and Àlex Crivillé, who in total hold a staggering 35 world championships between them.
